The Producers Guild of America (PGA), the association of audiovisual producers in the United States, and SICAV , the Interstate Association of Audiovisual Industry in Brazil, signed a Memorandum of Understanding ( MOU) on Thursday, October 03. The agreement marks a partnership between the two institutions in order to facilitate the exchange of information and future co-productions for Film , TV and New Media among its members . SICAV and the PGA will work together to promote meetings , seminars and other instructional opportunities for delegations visiting each other’s country. [...]

The Latin American Training Center-LATC and the Américas Film Conservancy-AFC presented on September 30th, during the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival, the Brazilian version of the book Latin American Cinema Today: The Director’s Perspective, inspired by a partnership of both organizations. Edited by Oliver Kwon, President of AFC, and by Steve Solot, President LATC, it offers leading Latin American film directors’ perspective of their film industry.
